There are adequate public facilities provided here which include food stalls, public toilets, a musolla (prayer hall), pavilions and camping sites. There is also a suspended bridge for visitors to enjoy the panoramic view of the area. A safe-guard station has also been provided to ensure visitors safety

    Pulau Bidong archipelago consists of Pulau Yu Besar, Pulau Yu Kechil, Pulau Gelok, Pulau Karah, Batu Tengkorak and Pulau Bidong. Pulau Bidong is located about 5 miles south of Pulau Redang, a 30 minutes speedboat ride from Merang jetty. Pulau Bidong was internationally well known as the relocation center for Vietnamese refugees from the middle 70s until it was closed in the early 90s. The state government decided not to develop any accommodation facilities instead encourages day trippers to visit the island for recreational purposes such as snorkeling, diving and swimming

    Batu Rakit is on the unspoiled shores dotted with colourful fishing boat and surrounded by lush forest. There are fishing villages adjoining to the beach, catch the coming home fishing boats in every good weather evening for fresh fish or look for stalls by the road selling Terengganu famous keropok lekor, otak-otak and Satar. In some sunny days, the famous Pulau Redang and former Vietnamese refuge island, Pulau Bidong are visible from the beach
